A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi crashed on Sunday during a visit to a northern region of the country. State media initially confirmed that a missing helicopter was carrying Raisi and others, but the news was later removed.
According to reports, the crash occurred in the Kerman province, where Raisi was visiting to assess flood damage. The helicopter was reportedly landing when it suddenly lost contact with ground control.
